As you all know, I'm a big Dark Knight fan, so something like this would be worth doing a video about. But the validity of these videos is still in question. I mean, they look legit, but then again it wouldn't be the first time a sweet "viral video" turned out to be the brain child of a fan with legit editing skills. But in any case, they are pretty cool in my book.
Best case scenario: They are legit viral videos in which case, I am PUMPED to see this movie.
Worst case scenario: They are fake.....but they look cool, which got me thinking about the potential for TDKR, in which case they still got me PUMPED for this movie.
Check out the video below to see a collection of the virals and let me know what you guys think:

Wahlberg and Russell are out of the movie. Thank god.
FAKE FAKE FAKE, but honestly I would like to believe that even the Bane picture is a fake.....
ReplyDeleteThey're fake. The GCN audio tracks ("This is a GCN traffic update and shit") are from a TDK marketing website(http://www.whysoserious.com/) And the chants are from the official website (http://www.thedarkknightrises.com/) I can understand Warner Bros. using the same chants from the website but why recycle tracks from TDK marketing?
ReplyDeleteYou were right, Jeremy. It's a fake. In the first vid there is a link displayed in a flash, and if you go there, you will find the creators FaceBook. http://goo.gl/s9VqQ is the link for you guys.

I couldn't understand the prisoners' chant. I thought that Batman's name was mentioned in it, but again, it sounded intelligible.

ReplyDeleteViral videos are really funny but some are annoying and yet we find the product itself quite interesting. I should've been into marketing business but ends up doing some graphic designing works. Since viral marketing came up early 2000, my job became much more interesting. Here's a good quote from someone I know, "Whether a video posted may be authentic or not, it is certainly more costly to put up a fake video review than simply post words on a website. - Wes Aron".
